I started off the new year being rather sick... Just a cold, but a mighty nasty one. I don't even have a fever so, I feel like it shouldn't be this bad, ahahh. Anyway, I'm trying to make it through the last of the holidays with my family, rather than sitting in bed all day.
2010 marks the end of a decade! Holyyy~ I still remember when it turned 2000-- Where'd all this time go? 2010 was a kind of roller coaster year for me, with lots of highs and lows. I graduated college, for one, this past May, and then worked at my summer job until September, then started my design internship. I really enjoy the place I work and the people I work with, and no doubt that my internship going getting extended or some such. I don't want to leave there >.> In some ways, I wish I was still in school, but with the reality of things I'd rather be making money than shoveling it out to the university, ahah. Anyway, hopefully I'll have a steady job through next year lulz. *_*
I recapped my year of cosplay in this deviation: [link] In 2010, I made more costumes and went to more cons than any other year! We'll see how that compare to 2011... First convention this year is Katsucon! It'll be the first time for me! New costumes plans for Katsu are teashop!Zuko from Avatar (Season 2), and Lucciola from Last Exile (with a HUGE group, I'm excited!) Gotta really get working on my costumes, FFFFFF!
New Years Resolutions
1) Lose ~10 pounds for Katsucon, and... keep it off yo. (Hooray for bodysuits, WTF!)
2) By year's end, have my webcomic be something tangible.
I've been developing an idea for a comic for a few years. A serious comic that involves research, which is why it's been taking so long to develop. It's sort of sci-fi / apocalyptic, and I need time to create something based solely in reality. (Crap, why don't I do a comic with magic, where anything goes??) Everything's been behind-the-scenes until now, but the first and only released art from this series thus far I just uploaded! [link] I am very serious about creating this project, no matter how long it takes! I think about it all the time ;__; I will be sure to update as things progress...
Speaking of comics, I did a 24-hour comic a few days ago! (If you don't know much about 24-hour comics, read here [link] ) I kind of accidentally planned out the story on the train ride one day, so technically... I shouldn't've done that. But anyway, I had a lot of fun doing it actually, and might keep it going as a fun side project if there's enough interest... Check it out here: [link] It's what I'd call "real world fantasy". I'm working on inking/finalizing the art, so it won't be sketchy-sketchy forever, fyi.
Another fyi-- I started a cosplay blog to track my progress as well as share helpful experiments and tutorials on tumblr. If you use Tumblr, be sure to check it out!: [link]
Also, a kind of reminder. I have another dA account ~erinwitzel that features my illustration work. If you're interested in that, please take a look if you haven't yet! I don't have much new stuff to upload since I have so much to work on already...
Okay! Well, that's it for now! Here's just a quick blurb to thank any and all new watchers from this year, and all favs and comments I've received! I appreciate any feedback I get, so thank you!

I'm attempting to lose 10 pounds by then, too. We can do it! *brofist*
And thanks a lot! But I don't wanna get old! lol.
